What to know

A day of work away from an outlet with a corded circular saw, a corded drill and two battery chargers. The math assumes everything runs at the same moment, the cautious case, so the list needs 2,126 W of continuous output and 3,726 W while the saw starts. If only one tool runs at a time on your site, remove the drill in the calculator and see what that frees up.

The start is what rules most stations out. The saw motor draws about 3,000 W for a moment as it spins up, 2.1 times its running figure, and 27 of the 54 stations cannot cover the start of the whole list.

The hours are motor run time: an hour of cutting and an hour of drilling in a day, with the motors assumed to run flat out. Real cutting has pauses, so the energy here is the high side.

Battery tools change the picture. Their chargers draw 63 W each and have no start surge, so charging packs from the station and running the tools from the packs asks far less of it. A miter saw in place of the circular saw is worked out below.

Questions

What size power station do you need for job site tools?
This setup uses 2,252 Wh a day. Lasting 24 hours takes 2,252 Wh usable, about 2,649 Wh of rated capacity at 85% efficiency. It also needs 2,126 W of continuous output and a surge rating of 3,726 W for the start.
Which is the smallest power station that is enough?
The BLUETTI Apex 300, at 2,765 Wh: 2,350 Wh usable gives 25.0 h of this routine. The ranking puts the smallest capacity first, then the lower price, then the lighter unit.
What about a miter saw instead of the circular saw?
With a miter saw (10 inch, corded) in place of a circular saw (7-1/4 inch, corded), the setup uses 2,352 Wh a day and needs 2,226 W running and 3,726 W to start. 16 of the 54 power stations are enough for one working day without a recharge, against 17 for the setup above. The closest fit is the BLUETTI Elite 300 (3,014 Wh).
