Recharging
From the wall
Maximum AC charging input: 1,800 W.
The maker states these wall charging times:
- 0 to 80% in 1 h 8 min
From solar
It takes up to 500 W of solar. Worked at 4 peak sun hours, counting 75% of the panel rating to allow for heat, angle and controller losses:
- 200 W of panels × 4 h of sun × 0.75 = 600 Wh a day. From empty to full: 2,048 ÷ (200 × 0.75) = 13.7 hours of sun.
- 500 W of panels × 4 h of sun × 0.75 = 1,500 Wh a day. From empty to full: 2,048 ÷ (500 × 0.75) = 5.5 hours of sun.

From a car
It charges from a car's 12 V outlet at up to 96 W.
Expansion and backup mode
It takes no expansion batteries, so the capacity stays at 2,048 Wh.
Backup (UPS) mode: the maker states a switchover of 20 ms or faster.
X-Boost can run this at up to 3,400 W by lowering the voltage. That suits heaters and kettles, not motors or electronics. The verdicts on this site never count it as output.
