What the data set holds today
Every list and ranking on Enough Watts ranks the power stations in this data set and no others. It holds 54 power stations sold in the US from 9 brands, and 79 appliance types. Last checked October 6, 2026.

What a power station record holds
Rated battery capacity in watt hours, continuous AC output and surge rating in watts, battery chemistry, weight, the recharge inputs (wall, solar and car), expansion batteries, backup mode, 240 V support, the ports, the US price with its month, and the pages each figure comes from. Figures are the US version's, as the maker states them, and we convert units only for display.
What an appliance record holds
A low, typical and high running watts figure, the starting watts where a motor or compressor has a published start, the energy per day for appliances that cycle on and off, the default hours of use, whether it needs 240 V, and its sources. An appliance type stands for many models, so its figures are a range, not one product.
Where a government list of certified models exists, the typical figure is the middle of that list. Elsewhere it is the middle of a published range or the rating of a common model, and the low and high figures come from models near either end. Each appliance page shows the range, and the methodology explains how the calculator uses it. The label on your own appliance beats any class figure.
Which figures makers publish
Makers do not all publish the same figures. The table counts how many of the 54 power stations have each one. A key figure that is missing shows as not published on the station page; a minor one is left out.
| Field | Stations | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| Rated capacity | 54 of 54 | Runtime, ranking |
| Continuous AC output | 54 of 54 | Output check |
| Surge rating | 47 of 54 | Surge check (the continuous output stands in when it is missing) |
| Solar input limit | 53 of 54 | Solar math |
| 240 V support stated | 34 of 54 | Voltage check (not stated never fails a station) |
| Weight | 54 of 54 | Ranking tie break, sorting |
| US price | 54 of 54 | Ranking tie break, sorting, price per Wh |
| Backup switch time | 45 of 54 | Display only |
| Cycle life | 48 of 54 | Display only |
| Lowest charging temperature | 48 of 54 | Display only |
| Noise | 27 of 54 | Display only |
| Warranty | 53 of 54 | Display only |
Fields marked display only appear on station pages and never filter, sort or rank a station, because too few makers publish them or they state them in ways that do not compare. Prices come from the maker's US store with the month we saw them: 36 are list prices and 18 are the price shown on the maker's page where it showed only one price. We do not store sale prices.
| Field | Appliance types |
|---|---|
| Running watts, low, typical and high | 79 of 79 |
| Starting watts | 24 of 79 |
| Motor or compressor without published starting watts | 14 |
| Energy per day (refrigerators, freezers, coolers) | 6 |
| Needs 240 V | 3 |
| Estimate label (few published figures) | 9 |
Where the figures come from
- Power stations: the maker's own pages first, the product page, the manual, the specification sheet or the support page. Prices come from the maker's US store.
- Appliances: manufacturer pages and manuals, government lists of certified models, and the wattage charts that generator makers publish.
- Retailers and review sites help us find products. They are never the source of a published figure, with one exception: a list price for a product its maker sells only through retailers, marked as a retailer price.
- When two official pages disagree, we keep the product page value and record the conflict.
How a record gets in
We read the official pages and record each figure with its page and the date. A second pass opens the same pages again and confirms or corrects every figure. Records that fail that check, duplicates and models not sold in the US stay out. 6 records so far were researched and checked in one pass; they carry a single check mark in the tables above and on their own pages until a second check is done.
We read specifications. We do not test power stations, measure appliances or own the products, and no figure here comes from a lab.
What the data set leaves out
- Sale prices and coupons: they change by the day. The maker link on each station page shows today's price.
- Stock: a station that is sold out still has its page. Check the maker's page before you plan on one.
- Prices outside the US, and models sold only outside the US.
- Generators and solar panels.
- Ratings and reviews: the site ranks by the stated math only.
Missing values
A key figure that the maker does not publish shows as not published. Minor fields without a value are left out. We never estimate a power station specification. Appliance types with few published figures carry an estimate label next to their watts on every page that shows them.
